Cubs Place Swanson on IL, Activate Suzuki

Swanson Suffered Knee Sprain

The Chicago Cubs have placed shortstop Dansby Swanson on the 10-day injured list with a right knee sprain. The All-Star infielder suffered the injury on May 7th against Pittsburgh and has missed the team's last three games.

Suzuki Returns from Injury

To fill Swanson's spot on the roster, the Cubs have activated outfielder Seiya Suzuki from the injured list. Suzuki, who signed a five-year, $85 million deal with Chicago this offseason, has been out since April 26th with a left hand sprain.
